Zabrze

ZABRZE, a town of Germany, in the extreme S.E. of Prussian Silesia, on the railway between Gleiwitz and Konigshutte. Pop. (1905) 55,634. Like other towns in this populous region, it is an important manufacturing centre, having coal-mines, iron, wire, glass, chemical and oil works, breweries, etc.
