Imbecile

IMBECILE (through the French from Lat. imbecillus or imbecillis, weak, feeble; of unknown origin), weak or feeble, particularly in mind. The term " imbecility " is used conventionally ofa condition of mental degeneration less profound than " idiotcy " (see INSANITY).
