Kanuri
KANURI, or BERIBERI, an African tribe of mixed origin, the dominant race of Bornu. They are large-boned and coarsefeatured, but contain nevertheless a distinct strain of Fula blood. Beriberi (or Berberi) is the name given them by the Hausa (see BORNU).
